Through a series of seven local totems etched into boulders at Paul Keating Park, this artwork celebrates the principles of Caring for Country while carrying forward the tradition of our ancestral rock carving sites.
The “7 Totems” discovery artwork is combined with a multilingual collection of etched words and native bee graphics swirling around a buzzing central play area.
The words Play–Run–Jump–Imagine / Dream and Connect are etched in multiple languages beneath 22 metres of playground seating, reflecting the major demographics of the area while contributing to a welcoming sense of place in one of Sydney’s most culturally diverse areas.
